Teaching Innovative Kids to Overcome

T.I.K.O.'s Way, was created with a mission to empower young students by providing them with access to the exciting world of aviculture. This visionary organization is dedicated to breaking down barriers and opening doors for the next generation of aviculturists, allowing them to explore diverse career opportunities, find mentors, and secure scholarships in this dynamic field. Aviculture, the practice of raising and breeding birds, encompasses a wide range of careers, from ornithologists and veterinarians to bird trainers, conservationists, and wildlife rehabilitators. However, many students are unaware of the multitude of possibilities within this field, making T.I.K.O.'s Way a vital resource for their discovery.

Education & Awareness

The first pillar is dedicated to providing students with comprehensive education about aviculture. T.I.K.O.'s Way aims to raise awareness about the diverse career opportunities within the field, including ornithology, bird conservation, bird training, and more. Through workshops, seminars, field trips, and informational resources, the organization equips students with the knowledge they need to make informed decisions about their future in aviculture.

The Vision

Mentorship & Guidance

The second pillar centers on mentorship and guidance. T.I.K.O.'s Way connects students with experienced aviculture professionals who serve as mentors. These mentors offer valuable insights, share their experiences, and provide one-on-one support to help students navigate their educational and career paths. Mentorship not only inspires but also fosters personal and professional growth, nurturing the next generation of aviculturists.

Resources & Scholarships

The third pillar addresses financial barriers that students may face in pursuing aviculture careers. T.I.K.O.'s Way is committed to pairing available scholarships, grants, and financial assistance to deserving individuals. This support ensures that economic circumstances do not hinder talented and passionate students from realizing their dreams in aviculture. By removing financial obstacles, the organization fosters equal access and opportunity for all aspiring aviculturists.

T.I.K.Os Way's core initiatives include offering students exposure to aviculture through hands-on experiences, educational workshops, and field trips to aviaries, bird sanctuaries, and research facilities. By immersing young minds in the fascinating world of birds, T.I.K.O.'s Way ignites their curiosity and passion, encouraging them to explore career paths they may have never considered.

About our Founder

Anaya first fell in love with birds when her mom adopted a pair of Blue & Gold Macaws but it wasn’t until meeting a high-spirited Blue & Gold named Tiko who loved spending her days on her swing that she realized that birds could bring some much needed joy and understanding to students everywhere.

Along with her ambassador bird Jackson, a critically endangered Blue Throat Macaw, she plans to increase educational awareness, teach social responsibility, develop work ethics, and most importantly spread the love and joy she has found through her interaction with these majestic animals.
